Alex "Iko" Zellner, 60, Green Bay, unexpectedly passed away at home, Saturday, April 23, 2022, following a brief battle with brain cancer. Born January 28, 1962, in Green Bay, he is the son of Mary Ellen (Day) Zellner and the late Bob Zellner. He is a graduate of Denmark High School, Class of 1980. Alex was a hard worker, being employed with Packerland Packing and eventually retiring from the City of De Pere after 25 years of faithful service. Alex enjoyed his time inretirement working part-time at TJ Maxx. Alex married Kathy Conery Shepherd on December 12, 2020. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of movies, music, pets, camping, the Packers, and his cocktails. Alex was a great dad and a wonderful grandpa.
Alex is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Kevin (Claire) Zellner, Amy (Brad) Van Eperen, Kim (Mike) Yohn, Zac Zellner, and Carrie (Eddie) Reinhard; special "daughter", Molly Siehr; step-children, Dale Shepherd, Jessica (Jimmy) Love, Rachael (Joe) Mowery, Jennifer (Brian) Deremo, Jessica (Christopher) Abrahamson, Rachel (Justin) Maes and Trevor (Jimmy) Shepherd; many grandchildren; mom, Mary Ellen Zellner; siblings, Sam (Sue) Zellner, and Annie (Neil) Zellner; mother-in-law, Sue (Fran) Macki; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Bob; sister, Amy Siehr; uncles and other good friends.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street , Friday, April 29, 2022, from 3-6pm. At 6pm there will be a time to share memories. Following all services, Alex will be cremated in keeping with his wishes.
