Allen J. “Lukee” Lukes, 75, Green Bay, passed away suddenly, early Saturday morning, October 14, 2017, in Marshfield, from a heart attack. Born May 10, 1942, in Kewaunee County, he is the son of the late Earl and Ruth (Bouche) Lukes. Allen graduated from Casco High School in 1961, and proudly served his county in the United States Army. He married his sweetheart, Sharon Delebreau, on September 18, 1965, at Assumption BVM in Pulaski. Allen worked at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers, and then finished at Georgia Pacific East in 2004 after 39 years. Allen enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and car rides following the UWGB women’s basketball games. His true passion was dirt track stock car racing. Allen also cherished times eating out with friends and family, which included a couple of Kessler and Diet Cokes.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon, Green Bay; one son, Todd Lukes, Green Bay; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Mary) Lukes; one brother-in-law, Albert (Sandy) Delebreau; one sister-in-law, Mary (Larry) Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Albert and Rita Delebreau; and his furry four-legged friend, Flyer.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Tuesday, from 4-8 pm. Parish wake service 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9 am until the procession to church. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:30 am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., with the Rev. Anthony V. Cirignani, OFM officiating, with full military honors to follow. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
