Alvin Vaness, 89, Green Bay, passed away, August 13, 2019. Born on January 6, 1930, he is the son of the late John and Julia (Theys) Vaness. Alvin married Eleanor Coel on August 8, 1953, at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2011. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm in Champion.
He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Vaness and Robert (Carol) Vaness; daughter-in-law, Lorrie Vaness; grandchildren, Jerrod (Jenny) Vaness, Bryan Vaness, Brenda Vaness and Troy Radtke, Katie (Nate) Havel, Robert Vaness; great grandchildren, Ian and Anna Vaness, Nathan and Brandon Havel; one sister, Jennie Vandervest; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Jan) Coel; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife Eleanor; son Len; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Irwin Vandervest, Richard (Barbara) Jandrain, Marjorie (Richard) Vaness, Ken (Harriet) Bauldry.
Visitation at St Joseph Catholic Church, in Champion, Saturday August 17, from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
