Barbara L. Ellevold

April 24, 1979 — August 25, 2024

Las Vegas

Barbara Ellevold was born on April 24, 1979, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Dale and Mary (Church) Ellevold. She went to be with Jesus after a lengthy illness on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Barbara graduated from Pulaski High School, UW Eau Claire, and Columbia, Missouri. She was a professor for a time at one of the top five universities, Columbia, Missouri. Barb was an author and is listed by the Semantic Scholar as one of the top 15 influencers.

Barbara was a committed Christian and won numerous awards and trophies for Forensics and Debate. She was a Bus Ministry Captain and the lead in a Mime team that was featured at the Olympic Park.

Barb followed the man she loved, Todd Temko, and his family to Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a great teacher, loving sister and daughter, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was a gift to behold. Always giving to those in need, she walked with a quiet, soft demeanor, looking for the best in those around her.

She was always physically suffering in her life, which made her even more of a miracle. Even with all of her pain, she still smiled, she still reached out to put others first and herself last. What a great honor we had to laugh with her, and to share life with her. Barb, we love you with all our hearts now and forever.

Barb is survived by her significant other, Todd; her sister: Jessie; her brother, Andrew; her dad, Dale Ellevold; and her mom, Mary (Church) Ellevold; and her grandmothers: Shirley Ellevold and Clara Church; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her brother Curtis, her grandpa, Thomas Church; and her nephews, Josiah and James.

The family of Barbara wants to thank Todd for taking such good care of and loving Barb, and the Sunrise Hospital, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Special thanks to all family and friends for their many prayers and concern.
