Betty L. Liebman, 94, passed away May 16, 2018 at a local hospital. Born October 31, 1923, in Daggett, MI, she is the daughter of the late Gustav and Anna (Kayser) Plutchak. Betty always thought of herself as a city girl that happened to be raised on a farm. She was proud that she was able to play high school basketball. Following high school, Betty moved to Green Bay to attend business college. It is while in Green Bay, she met a good looking guy and a great dancer, Fred Liebman. The couple fell in love and were married June 26, 1948, at the family farm in Daggett, MI. Betty was employed as the office manager for the Green Bay Sewerage District. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of dancing, playing Bridge, bowling, golfing and swimming at the ”Y”.
Betty is survived by three children, Chris (Tom) Geurts, Mike (Linda) and Pat (Irene); six grandchildren, Nick (Kari), Andy (Meagan), Matt, Anne, Hattie, Beau (Lacey); step grandchildren, Ben and Krista; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; a sister, Anita Plutchak; and a brother, Arthur “Bud” Plutchak.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 1-3 pm. Memorial service 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
