Betty M.  Van Alphen, 94, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2023, at her home. Born August 17, 1928, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Jauquet) St. Laurent. Betty is a proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1946. She married Bob Van Alphen on August 23, 1974, at St. Willebrord Church and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1993. Betty had worked at Northern Paper Mill for over 40 years in administration and payroll. She was a life-long active member of St. Willebrord Church. Betty loved her faith and was dedicated to it. She was a communion distributor at her church as well as at Bellin Hospital. Betty was always concerned for the care of others and as such was a long time blood donor. She also will be remembered for her enjoyment of knitting in her younger years. 

Betty is survived by niece, Mary Beth Burckle; nephew, Lee Burckle; and her very dear friend, Tina Truttmann. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband , Bob; and sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Clayton Burckle.

Visitation at St. Willebrord Church, 209 S. Adams Street, Thursday, March 30 2023, from 8:30am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass, 10:30am Thursday, at the church with Rev. Andrew Cribben, O. Praem. officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

Malcore (East) Funeral Home is serving the family.

Betty extends a special thank you to the caring staffs of Dimensions Assisted Living and Memories Hospice for their care and concern. A most special thank you to  her "Angel sent from God", Tina Truttmann, who did so very much for her. She was also very appreciative to the many other friends who were always so kind and dear to her.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be directed to the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Bay Settlement, in Betty's memory.
