Bill Maccoux Sr.

December 30, 1954 — November 1, 2023

William "Bill" Maccoux Sr., 68, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home November 1, 2023, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

Born on December 30, 1954, he is the son of the late Russel and Pearl (Tenor) Maccoux. He graduated from Preble High School Class of 1973. Bill spent most of his working years at Proctor and Gamble. Bill married the love of his life, Bernice Boucher on May 17, 1980, in Green Bay.

Bill enjoyed deer hunting, especially in recent years in Superior, with nephew Justin and family; his favorite part was ending the day with garage beers and the stories that came along with it. Bill enjoyed his annual fishing trips to Canada and Lake Erie with friends and the camaraderie of the sport.  He made it a point to share his love of fishing with his granddaughters. Bill was an avid bowler for many years and definitely knocked a few pins down in his day.  He was beyond thrilled the day his son beat his highest score of 297 with a perfect 300. Bill enjoyed his and Bernice's many trips to Las Vegas over the years with friends Rick and Nancy, even if the "lucky underwear" didn't bring the luck they'd hoped. His love for golf lead him to be the founder of the annual Maccoux Open Golf Outing. This 3 day weekend has brought over 30 years of memories to a whole lot of friends and family. As a lifelong fan, Bill didn't miss many Packer games and always dressed in support of his favorite team. For many years he was a member of St Matthews Catholic Church being involved in the mens club. Bill loved nothing more then time spent with family, his time at the cottage and winters down in Florida. Wherever Bill was, there were stories and laughter all around. His strong love for his family and his unfiltered personality are two things that will be missed the most by anyone that knew him.

He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Bernice; children, Erin (Chris) Carter, Bill (Katie) Maccoux Jr., Brandon (Lauren) Maccoux; seven grandchildren, Darian, and Lakyn Carter, Amelia, Madalynn, Abigail, Rosalyn Maccoux, and Allison Largent; siblings, Steve (Sally) Maccoux, Bob (Ruth) Maccoux; sisters and brothers in law, Karen Boucher and Rick Taylor, Ken Boucher, Jill (Paul) VandenPlas, Bruce (Glenna) Boucher, James (Gwen) Boucher; many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father in law, Mary Ellen and Bernard Boucher; sister in law, Lynn Maccoux.

We would put something clever here that Dad said, but nothing he said was really appropriate. Miss you already.
