Billy Knight

September 16, 1931 — March 24, 2024

Billy Junior Knight passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2024 at the age of 92 at his home in Pulaski, WI.  He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, extended family and many friends

Billy was born on September 16, 1931 in Parma, MO to Elmer and Gladys Knight. He moved to Green Bay, WI in 1953 and married Mary Irene Frank on June 20, 1953. They had eight children.

Even though afflicted with a disability from Polio since the age of 7, he worked all his life to support his family. While working at a Mobil station and parking lot in downtown Green Bay he met the owner of KI who told him he should apply for a job there.  He was hired there on September 18, 1962 and continued to work there until his retirement on March 21, 1997.  He then started helping his friend Dan Wegner in his shop for several years.

Billy loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandson Clint Barth and best friend Mark Begley. He was also an avid reader. He really enjoyed his family reunion every year in Marble Hill, MO and he always looked forward to his monthly breakfast with his co-workers from KI.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, of 70 years ;  six children: Billie Gail Knight (Alan Naumann); Steven (Lynn) Knight; Darlene Knight; Marlene Salas; Leslie (Diane) Knight and Colleen Knight (Karl Kritch); and many nieces and nephews , many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Gladys (Parsons) Knight, two sisters, Irene and Betty, one brother Willis and two sons Stanley and Robert Knight.

Thank you goes out to all the Unity/Hospice staff that helped with his care and Malcore Funeral Home for taking such good care of him.

Per his wishes there will be no funeral services.
