Carol O'Connor

Carol J. O’Connor (Koepp), born on November 15, 1937, in Marquette, MI, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in Clarksville, TN. 

She was a loving mother and her ability to love life lives on through her sons, Leonard (Lenny), Barry; Green Bay, and Brian(Carrie) O’Connor; Clarksville, TN. She was a devoted grandmother to Rachael(Ronald) Saldana; Green Bay, whom she raised, along with her many grandchildren: Brian(Sydney); Green Bay, WI, Bryce(Mandan) Nashville, TN, Brandon(Dasia), Crysalyn, Cearyona, Braydan; Clarksville, TN, Barry(Amber), Bradley(Olivia), Brett, Mariah, Daylin, Kiarrah, Shailinn, and Liam; Green Bay, WI. Four great-grandchildren; Junior, Nina, Saylor, and Luca. Carol enjoyed being an aunt to Kathleen O’Connor(children Logan & Alex); Green Bay, WI & Molly O’Connor; Los Angles, California. Also, survived by close family friend; Thomas Draper.

Carol was known for her remarkable ability to bring people together for fun and laughter, often lighting up any room she entered. Her feisty spirit shone through even in life's toughest moments, teaching her family and friends the values of kindness, gentleness, and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need. 

Before embracing her role as a mother and grandmother, Carol spent many years as a dairy & potato farmer in Michigan where she was named Agricultural Producer of the Year by Michigan State University. She later pursued a career as a semi-truck driver for several years, embarking on a journey that took her three attempts to finally retire. In her retirement Carol enjoyed baking with her family and watching her favorite western movies and shows. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Leonard O’Connor III, her beloved golden retriever; Maggie May, her parents; Grace and Bernard Koepp, her great-grandson; Cosmo O’Connor, brothers-in-law; Patrick (Pat) O’Connor and Lauran(Larry) O’Connor, along with many cousins. 

Carol will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of laughter, love, and strength will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Friday January 24, 2025, from 4 PM until 7 PM. Visitation will continue at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM with Rev. Gary Neville, O. Praem.officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
