Chauncey M. Roberts, 57, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday evening, February 3, 2024, at a St. Vincent Hospital. Born April 25, 1966, in Chicago, he is the son of Brenda (Nichols Roberts) Watkins and the late Jimmy Lee Roberts. Chauncey was an ambitious worker, beginning at age 12, he worked in a fish market so he could help provide for his family.He loved working with his brother. He was a talented athlete, as a basketball player, excellent boxer, and enjoyed working out at the gym. He had a love of music and would often love to sing and dance. Chauncey was an entrepreneur and could always "Make it happen" if it needed to be done. He loved his time outdoors, fishing and camping and enjoyed all animals. He was a fantastic cook, who learned to cook over the phone from his mom, sister and brother. Cooking was yet another way he showed his love, sharing his dishes with those he loved. He was a dedicated son and he was always willing to help anyone, if there was pain or a need, he understood due to his life journey. He was a people person who did his best to make others laugh. Tobias referred to him as his lifetime hero and the best BIG brother/friend that he could ever have.

Chauncey is survived by his, mom, Brenda Watkins; siblings, Miles, Lizette, Yusef, Sakena, Tanzanna, Tobias, Darnell; children, Tobias, Sabrina and Evie; love of his life, Vicky; aunts and uncles, especially his special Aunt Charlene, and  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sakena; his great-grandmother, Luella Hendricks; and Mickey.  

A private memorial was held in his honor.

"To my nephew Chauncey I thank you for the laughter and jokes and the good times. You will be missed, rest in peace, I love you." Your Aunt Charlene

Chauncey's family extends a special thank you to the loves of his life, Vicky Leider and Lola who were with him through the very end. The family especially thanks Chauncey for his humor and tremendous joy he had for life.You will be missed dearly, "Big Pencil".
