Connie M. Jerry

Connie Marie Jerry (Vanden Avond), 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 17, 1948 in Green Bay to the late Earl and Beatrice (Prail) Vanden Avond. 

She graduated from East High School in 1966 and later attended NWTC. She met the love of her life, Jon Jerry, in 1967 at the Club Sahara where Jon described he saw a “golden halo” around Connie as though she was an angel. They were united in marriage at Saints Peter and Paul Parish on October 5, 1968 and enjoyed 56 wonderful years together. Connie worked at Morley Murphy and Wausau Insurance as a secretary. She was very strong in her Catholic faith as an active member of St. John the Baptist Parish. She enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Little Sturgeon and riding in her golf cart, planting flowers, playing card games, and watching Western films. Her biggest joys in life were her grandchildren and always supported their numerous accomplishments and interests.

Memories of Connie live on through her husband Jon, son Jason, daughter-in-law Sherri, two beloved grandchildren Amanda and Alex, and numerous family members and friends.

Visitation at St. John the Baptist, 2597 Glendale Ave., Tuesday July 23, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12 PM (noon). Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
