Cynthia S. "Cindy" Puissant, 58, Bellevue, died unexpectedly from natural causes on March 22, 2013. Born on May 27, 1954, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Edwin (Bob) and Mary Rose (Kuplic) Puissant. Cindy was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and Mt. Mary College in Milwaukee. She worked in Northeastern Wisconsin as a Certified Social Worker in nursing homes for most of her career. Cindy enjoyed camping, nature walks, reading, visiting with friends, and was an avid Packer fan. She devoted the latter part of her life to caring for her beloved mother, Mary.
Cindy is survived by three siblings, Robert (Mary) Puissant, Green Bay, and their seven children, Michael, Madeleine (Kyle) Jacobson, Marie, Bernadette, Joseph, Margaret, and Clare; John (Cheryl) Puissant, Greenville, OH; and twin brother, Edwin Puissant, Livingston, TX, and his two children, Justin (Amber), and Sara (Andy) Seidl; two uncles, Donald (Shirley) Kuplic; and James (Dot) Kuplic; one aunt, Donna Puissant; many cousins; and her close friend, Jeanne McCoy.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; and three uncles, Neil Kuplic, Patrick Kuplic, and Gerald Puissant.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Wednesday (March 27, 2013) from 9:00 a.m. until the procession to church. Memorial Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saints Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Cindy's name at Paul's Pantry located at, 1529 Leo Frigo Way, Green Bay, WI 54302.
