Daniel Howard Smith, 69, Green Bay, passed away October 26, 2023, after a battle with cancer caused by Agent Orange. Born on November 28, 1953, he is the son of the late Howard and Patricia (Gleason) Smith. Dan proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He married Lisa Jaskolski on September 25, 1987, in Green Bay. He was a member of West Side Moravian Church, and DAV Chapter 17. Dan enjoyed knife making, camping, and restoring British motorcycles. His knife making grew to be a passion and gave him a true feeling of accomplishment. His greatest satisfaction of knife making was passing them on to friends and family. These gifts have now become heirlooms of Dan's life. He also enjoyed spending his time with his friends at Rick's Tattoo. One of Dan's favorite sanctuaries was Rawley Point Lighthouse in Two Rivers. He parked cars for Packer games at the Deffke's since he was a young child. Through his cancer journey Dan became overwhelmed by the sincere love he received from family and friends.
