Darlene A. Pelch, age 85 of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Autumn’s Promise in New Franken. She was born on July 10, 1936 in Green Bay to the late Wilford “Bill” and Pearl (Laes) Coppersmith. She was united in marriage to Jim Pelch on February 15, 1958, in San Bernardino, CA.
Darlene graduated from Mercy College of Nursing in San Diego, CA. She worked as a pediatrics registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital for 25 years.
She had been a long-time, faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. Darlene was known for being very passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved her cat, Mitsey. Through the years Darlene and Jim enjoyed traveling via motorhome across the U.S. and Canada.
Left to cherish Darlene’s memory are her children, Jim (Midge) Pelch of Brush Prairie, WA, Terri (Chuck Berger) Crawford of Green Bay, WI and Steve (Renee) Pelch of De Pere, WI; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother in law, Ken Gurley of De Pere, WI; and special cousin, Janice VanDeveld of Green Bay, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; sister, Judy Gurley; and brother, Bill Coppersmith.
Per Darlene’s wishes no formal services are being held. The family will celebrate her life and she will be laid to rest in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
