David L. Bechle, 51, Ashwaubenon, died Friday, March 29, 2013, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Green Bay, December 10, 1961, he is the son of K. Lorraine (Christel) Bechle and the late Jerome “Specs” Bechle. Dave graduated from Preble High School the class of 1980. He was a 1981 graduate of NWTC’s Wood Techniques Program. Dave married the former Sharie VanEnkevort, May 17, 1985, at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard. He owned and operated Brost Foods in School Hill from 1986-1999. Most recently he worked for Hurckman Mechanical Industries in Green Bay and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 18. Dave attended NWTC from January 2001 until March 2006 when he completed his apprenticeship as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker. In addition to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Dave was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandson and many family and friends. He also enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, music, camping and loved working with his hands. Dave will be remembered by those who knew him as a hard-working and proud family man, who put everyone else first. He had an infectious smile and loved sharing laughs with those around him. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Sharie; 2 children, Crystal and Benjamin all of Ashwaubenon; 3 year old grandson, Landon; mother, K. Lorraine Bechle; 8 siblings, Tom (Nancy) Bechle, Mary (fiancée, Roy) Bechle, Meg (Ron) Renquin, Geri (Tom) Moore, Jon (Sharon) Bechle, Laura (Chris) Grover, Lisa (Paul) Dziengeleski, and Joe (Ann) Bechle; mother-in-law, Mary VanEnkevort; sisters-in-law, Sue (Jim) Schwartz, Jane (Randy) Brice, Joan (Terry) Coonen, Bonnie (Bill) Noel, Linda (Steve) Fonder, and Pam (Andy) Anderson; many other relatives and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his father; brother, John David Bechle; and father-in-law, Clayton VanEnkevort.
Visitation at Nativity Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, Friday, April 5, 2013, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 P.M. with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Interment at Allouez Chapel Catholic Mausoleum.
