David Ropson, 83, Green Bay, passed away December 29, 2018. Born on October 16, 1935, in Lincoln, WI, he is the son of the late Jerome and Florence (LeCaptain) Ropson. David went to East High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart Joanne Goeben on January 8, 1955. David did an amazing job raising his eight children. He was a jack of all trades and a master of all of them. David enjoyed cottage life and sailing. He was known for his woodworking especially his beautifully hand crafted clocks.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Joanne; eight children, Paul (Lisa Renn) Ropson, Ronald (Laurie) Ropson, Jeanne (Murray) Lang, Kenneth Ropson, Carol (Gary) Ziesmer, Michael Ropson, James (Karen) Ropson, and Patricia (Scott) Denny; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Jane (Jim) Corsten, Thomas (Audrey) Ropson, John Ropson, Kathy (John) Schoenecker, Dan Ropson, and Christine DeWitt; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason St. Saturday January 5, from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 12 PM (noon).
