Donald “Don” John Bomber, 84, Bay Settlement, died unexpectedly, Thursday, March 28, 2013, at home. Born in Green Bay, August 14, 1928, he is the son of the late William and Anna (Pauls) Bomber. Don married the former Rosemary Bunker on October 1, 1955, at Holy Cross Church in Bay Settlement. He worked at KI for 38 years until his retirement in 1991. Don was a longtime member of Holy Cross Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of Bay Settlement; children, David Bomber of Green Bay, Ronald Bomber of Rio Creek, Kenneth Bomber of Shawano, Karen (Dennis) Schell of Reynolds, IA, Kathy Bomber of Ellison Bay, and Linda Bomber of Denmark; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Shawn, Elizabeth, Benjamin, and Bailey; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert (Delores) Bomber and James (Patricia) Bomber of Green Bay; other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; 2 children, Thomas and Edward; and sister, Betty (Don) Verheyden.
Visitation at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement, Monday, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Thomas Hagendorf, O.Praem. officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. MALCORE (East) Funeral Home assisted the family.
