Donald Harry Meyer, 94, of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully March 14, 2025, at the Jack and Ingrid Meng Residence. Born on January 28, 1931, he is the son of the late Anthony and Edna Meyer. Don graduated from North College Hill High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, class of 1949. He was drafted in October of 1951, and served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the Korean War, he came back and worked for The Fernald Nuclear Plant and attended the Ohio Mechanics Institute. He married the former Patricia Mack on June 16, 1956, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and she preceded him in death on January 4, 2023. Don then worked for Procter & Gamble / Charmin Paper Company from 1959 until his retirement in May of 1994, in various management positions. Due to Don's employment with P & G, he and his family lived in many different states and Don was able to travel worldwide with his job. One of the highlights was being able to go to the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. Upon retiring, Pat and Don moved to a 40 acre homestead in Abrams, Wisconsin where he enjoyed riding his tractor and taking care of the land. He also did some consulting during his retirement for Foth and Van Dyke. As they grew older, they moved back to Green Bay to be closer to their children.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Lee) Johnson, Sobieski; two sons, Scott (Lynda) Meyer, Green Bay, and Jeff (Vicky) Meyer, Ashwaubenon; grandchildren, Jared Barfield, Jacob Meyer, Gracie (fiancé, Jakub Dudzicz) Meyer, Paige Meyer, Lori (Chad) Beck and Brent (Shea) Johnson; and three great-grandchildren; further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily.
Visitation at St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (Entrance is directly across from BP gas station on Glendale Ave.) Tuesday, April 15 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM (noon). Followed by Full Military Honors. Inurnment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
