Dorothy received a two year degree in business from the City Vocational School and was proud to be employed at Green Bay Savings and Loan. In 1954 Dorothy and Bob purchased a little country store in Bay Settlement. They owned and operated Lindell’s Grocery for 25 years and truly cherished being members of this community and the Holy Cross Parish family. Later in life, Dorothy was a dedicated volunteer at Curative Rehab and St. Vincent de Paul. She so loved and appreciated her work, friends, family, and many acquaintances. For much of their adult life, Dorothy and Bob enjoyed countless great times with members of the Baylanders Chorus (their singing family), as well as golfing, dinners, parties and lots of music with family and friends. Dorothy had great enthusiasm in caring for her yard, bird watching, all things homemaking, and being a very involved Grandma. Bless her beautiful spirit! Memories of our time with her will fill our hearts forever!
Sincere thanks to the wonderful caretakers who have really been there for Dorothy over the past 8 years. We will always be grateful to you for providing such competent and compassionate care! The family will celebrate Dorothy in a private graveside service and publish details later this month regarding a public gathering to honor Dorothy.
Gifts in memory of Dorothy can be directed to Alzheimer’s Research, Unity Hospice, Paul’s Pantry, Wisconsin Public Television or The Nature Conservancy.
