Dorothy Vandertie, 101, of Green Bay, passed away into the loving arms of her three special angels November 18, 2016 with her daughters by her side. Born on July 6, 1915, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late William and Ermis Anderson. Dorothy married Eli Vandertie on December 17, 1934, in Green Bay and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1986. The couple owned and operated the Surfwood Motel and Restaurant in Dyckesville from 1962 to 1970. Cooking was her passion she was known for delicious cream pies.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Donart, and Carolyn Zeise both of Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Mark (Diana) Vandertie, Bruce Vandertie, Laurie (Richard) Yarrow, Warren Vandertie Jr., Lisa (Bill) Delano, Paul (Lynette) Donart, Rodney (Tammy) Donart, Sherry (Brack) Gillespie, Brian (Wendi) Lemens, and Melissa (James) Manders; eighteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty two years, Eli; two sons, Ronald and Warren Vandertie; one grandson, Kevin G. Lemens; son-in-law, John Zeise; and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home 701 N. Baird St. Wednesday November 23 from 3PM until the time of service at 6PM. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
