Elaine Hansen-Belanger, 74, of Abrams, WI, died peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay, on November 7, 2018.
She was born on November 21, 1943, to Alice (LaMontagne) and Miles Betts of Marquette, MI. Elaine worked as a secretary for the Green Bay Public Schools for many years.
She enjoyed swimming, dancing, and traveling the country on the back of their Gold Wing motorcycle.
Elaine is survived by her husband. Dean Belanger of Abrams; his children, John (Mary) Belanger and Robert Belanger, both of Green Bay; her children, Lou (Amanda) Lepere of Rhode Island, Debbie (Mike) Ament of Green Bay, and Cindy (Jason) Splan of McFarland, WI; former spouse, Pete Hansen of Green Bay; grandchildren, Lauren, Brett, Bryce, Vanessa, Mallory, Katie, Emma, Jackson, Paul (Stephanie), Christopher, William (Kim), Samantha, Krystyna and eight great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas (Virginia) Betts of Abrams, Blaine (Gretchen) Betts and Dawn Betts, both of Marquette, MI, and her Aunt Trixie; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St, Wednesday, November 14, from 3:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 6:30 PM.
Elaine’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Unity Hospice, the 5th floor staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, and a special thank you to Amy and Chelsea for their care and compassion.
