Florence (Delfosse) Dequaine, 98, Green Bay, joined her husband in heaven on February 3, 2017. Born on September 7, 1918, in Brussels, she is the daughter of the late Noel J. and Laura (Befay) Delfosse. When she was a toddler, the family moved to Green Bay, where she lived until 1930. In 1930 the family moved to Luxemburg, where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Luxemburg High School, where she graduated in 1936 prior to moving back to Green Bay. She married Raymond Dequaine on June 30, 1937, and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1992. Florence was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish from 1936 until her passing, where she belonged to the Saints Peter and Paul Society, helped serve communion to those at the Brown County Mental Health Center, and served funeral dinners. She also served as the president of the St. Francis Xavier Guild. Florence worked for JC Penny for 23 years.
Florence is survived by three sons, Kenneth Wayne (Barbara) Dequaine, Dale Raymond (Colleen) Dequaine, and Darrell Joseph Dequaine; 15 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; three great great grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Celia Dart.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Roland (Jennie) Delfosse; three sisters, Dorothy (John) Williams, Neoma (Elmer) Baudhuin, and a baby sister, Violet; one daughter-in-law, Judith; Dequaine; one grandchild, Jackie Dequaine.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., with the Rev. Tony Cirignani, OFM officiating.
