Gerald H. "Jerry" Buchanan

Gerald H. "Jerry" Buchanan, 79, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 3, 2013, from lung disease. Jerry was surrounded by his family who loved him enormously. Born in Green Bay on September 9, 1933 he is the son of the late Henry and Agnes (Queoff) Buchanan. Jerry graduated from East High School and served in the Army from 1954 - 1956 in Germany during the Korean War. On October 5, 1954, he married the former Joyce Collins at Saints Peter & Paul Parish. Jerry was founder of Majestic Tile Company. Together with Mel Wilde they started the business in 1960. Jerry took great pride in his work and always strove to provide his customers with outstanding service and craftsmanship. He expanded the business to include a retail showroom in 1981 when his wife Joyce joined him in the business. Jerry retired in 2006 though he continued as the company "errand boy" and enjoyed stopping to visit with people he had done business with over the years.
