Gerald "Jerry" Cornelissen, 74, Denmark, passed away Friday March 8, 2013, at home after a three year battle with cancer. Born on May 21, 1938, in De Pere, he is the son of the late Sylvester and Vivian (Hendricks) Cornelissen. Jerry married the former Barbara "Bonnie" Coenen on November 24, 1962. He was the owner and operator of Windmill Transport for 25 years. Jerry enjoyed raising and working with his draft horses.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara "Bonnie"; three children, Julie (Chip) Hill of Green Bay, Wendy (Pat) Belleau of De Pere, and Constance Cornelissen of Denmark; five grandchildren, Levi, Darin, Brooke, Ben, and Anthony; four sisters, Carol Burke, Germaine Diny, Mary Lou (Lloyd) Gussert, and Sandra Greenley; one brother, Jack Cornelissen; two sisters-in-law, Betty Spotts, and Nancy (Butch) Kroll; many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, William Burke, Leo Diny, and Paul Spotts; one sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Cornelissen; mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Josephine Coenen.
Visitation at St Mary's Glenmore-Stark, 5832 Big Apple Rd, De Pere, Saturday (March 16, 2013) from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. David Koch officiating.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established.
