Gerald Daul, 86, Crandon, formerly of Green Bay, passed away at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital on February 14, 2018. Born on August 2, 1931, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Edwin and Margaret (Petermann) Daul. On May 14, 1955, he married the former LaVerne DeCramer. Jerry served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Pauly Cheese, then Proctor and Gamble until his retirement. Gerald was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. Jerry and Laverne moved to Crandon in retirement, where he enjoyed fishing on Lake Metonga. While he wasn’t fishing, Jerry spent time golfing with friends. Until recently, Jerry and LaVerne spent winters in Mission, TX. Jerry enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Wisconsin Badger basketball games until they started losing.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, LaVerne Daul, Crandon; four children, Karen Daul, Crandon, Jim Daul, Algoma, Barb (James) Vandermause, Casco, and Mike (Loree) Daul, Oconto Falls; four grandchildren, Jamie Kaiver, Christine Kaiver, Jonathan Daul, and Nicholas Daul; three great grandchildren, Jenna Gast, Allee Massey, and Teegan Truttman; one sister, Carolyn (Richard) Elm; one brother-in-law, Richard (Sara) DeCramer, Santa Cruz, NM; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Edwin and Margaret (Petermann) Daul; sister, Beverly Roulette; brother-in-law, Dean Roulette; and nephew, Steve Roulette.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
