Gladys Knight

Gladys Knight, 85, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday evening, February 22, 2023, at a local care facility. Born November 18, 1937, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Louie and Ethel Tassoul. Gladys was employed at Reimer’s Meat where she met the love of her life, George Knight. The couple was married on November 24, 1956, and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2015. Gladys enjoyed raising her family and being a dedicated wife and mom. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidering, playing BINGO, gardening and loved all her pets over the years. 

Gladys is survived by four daughter, Debbie (Eugene) Mertens, Teri Hooker, Laurie (Larry) Timm, and Boots (James) Black; one son, Scott (Elisabeth) Knight; five grandchildren, Mandy “Teeter” (Scott), Xavier “Buckshot”, Jesse (Holly), Jenny, and Larry, Jr (Crystal).; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Blake, Chase, August, Noah and Grace; further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George "Cowboy"; infant son, Randy; son-in-law, Darvin Hooker; and her feline companion, Babe and Dusty.
