Gordon J. Nockerts, 69, Green Bay, passed away Thurs. afternoon, August, 18, 2016, at a local care facility. Born Jan. 11, 1947, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Clarence and Lillian (Du Jardin) Nockerts. Gordon was a long-time faithful employee of Christianson Electric. He was an avid bowler and member of the Green Bay Bowling Association and could proudly boast of rolling a 300 game. Gordon was also a member of the Brown County Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will also be remembered for his enjoyment of woodworking and working on electrical projects. Gordon’s greatest source of pride in his live, however, was his two boys.
Gordon is survived by two sons, John and Troy (Allison) Nockerts and their mother, Joyce Clark; brother, Jim (Vicki) Nockerts all of Green Bay; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters, Mary Ann and Betty Jean Nockerts; two sisters, Eleanor (Robert) Lealiou and Marie Jandrin; and aunt and uncle, Tavie and Wilford Demoulin
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Monday, from 1pm until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 6:30pm Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Zorn Micke, chaplain with Heartland Hospice officiating. Inurnment at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
