Henry D. “Hank” Bertrand, 83, Champion, died peacefully, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at a local hospital. Born in Champion, November 22, 1932, he is the son of the late Frank and Maggie (Vanness) Bertrand. Hank worked on the family farm. He lived in the same house in which he was born his entire life. Hank loved many things including, playing cards, playing bingo with his friends at Anna’s House, snowmobiling, his tractors, and the great outdoors.
He is survived by his siblings, Adeline (Lloyd) DeGrave of Ashwaubenon, Isabelle (Wayne) Walker of Bellevue, and Joseph Bertrand of Howard; many nieces and nephews; Hank is further survived by his canine “kid” companions, Billy and Nancy.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Evelyn (Wayne) Klaus and Norman Bertrand; sister-in-law, Esther Bertrand.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Tuesday (3/15) from 4:00-8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday (3/16) at Robinsonville Presbyterian Church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10:30 AM with Rev. William Kamke officiating. Burial at Robinsonville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
