Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Van Beek, 88, Green Bay, passed away Sunday morning, May 6, 2018, at a local care facility. Born Jan. 10, 1930, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Anton J. and Ruth Bersch. Jackie married Ben Van Beek and they worked side by side for many years completing numerous carpentry projects. He preceded her in death. Jackie later worked at Capelle Floral where she developed a love for flowers. She had worked for over 30 years as a housekeeper for Knaus Construction, the Knaus Family and the Gauthier Family. For Jackie, Her home was her sanctuary and her garden, her pride and joy. Jackie’s joyful routine would be to have a coffee at Blackstone Café and Al’s Hamburger.
Jackie is survived by one sister, Carol York; God-daughter, Jackie (Andy) Tillmann; dear friends, Tom and Ann Gauthier and their daughter, Faith; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; sisters, Beverly and Rosie; and a brother, Tony.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 5pm until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 7pm Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Keith Holschbach officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
