James H. Hecker, 82, Green Bay, died peacefully, Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Green Bay. Born in Milwaukee, January 10, 1934, he is the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Schulz) Hecker. Jim worked at ASPIRO for nearly 20 years. He spent many days at NEW Curative in their Adult Programs. To know Jim was to love him, as he had his own style and grace, which was so unique to him. He had a smile that could melt your heart, and a soft spot for the ladies, as he loved to blow kisses when he saw them. He loved Elvis, the beauty of old movies when Hollywood had its era, his Catholic faith, and he had a soft spot for animals. Jim touched the lives of all who knew him, and made other lives richer for having known him. Two of his favorite things were fried chicken and ice cream.
Jim is survived by many friends especially those at Oaks Family Care and Christiana House.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason Street, Thursday, from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 4:00 PM. Burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in South Milwaukee.
Special thanks to the staff of NEW Curative, St. Mary’s Hospital, Unity Hospice, Golden Living Center, as well as, Cyndi Garbisch and the staff of Oaks Family Care Center and Christiana House.
