James “Jim” Pelch, 81, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Wed. morning, Jan. 27, 2016, at home with his family at his side. Born Sept. 23, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, he is the son of the late John and Ruth (Hazel) Pelch. Jim married the former Darlene Coppersmith on Feb. 15, 1958, in San Bernardino, CA. He had been employed as a computer programmer for nearly 30 years with UW Green Bay. Jim was a long-time, faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. He will be remembered as an avid Packer fan. Jim enjoyed his hunting cabin up north and the many memories created hunting and fishing with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Darlene; three children, James (Midge) Pelch, Brush Prairie, WA, Terri (Chuck Berger) Crawford, Green Bay, and Steve (Renee) Pelch, De Pere; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, John “Jack” Pelch, Denver, CO; one sister, Catherine (Ernie) Martin, CA; sister-in-law, Judy (Ken) Gurley, De Pere; other relatives and friends.
