Jeanette "Grandma" Teller, 92, Green Bay, passed away Thursday morning, February, 22, 2024, at her home while surrounded by her family. Born October 31, 1931, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Adele Summers LaMotte and she was raised by her grandparents, Louie and Mary LaMotte. Jeanette graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas. She worked for many years at Packerland Packing before transitioning to employment with Oneida Nation, serving in various capacities well into her 80s. Family was so very important to Jeanette. She was a true Legend raising multiple generations of children. She found great joy in watching her family participate in family baseball games and cookouts. Jeanette was an avid sports fan, cheering on her Packers, Brewers, Badgers and her Tiger Woods. She will long be remembered as a proud and stubborn lady who had a generous, giving Golden Heart.
Jeanette is survived by 10 of her 13 children, Brenda (James Sr. Skippergosh), Kerry (late Ronnie Sr. Picotte), John (Leslie) Teller, Frank (Patti) Teller, Shirley Teller, Joe Teller, Joni (Rudy Sr. Beltran), Wanda Teller, Lu Anne (late Amado Sr. Saldana) and Lorrie Webster; and a grandson, Dustin (Geneva) Teller, who she raised as her own child. She is also "Grandma" to 44 grandchildren, 136 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, that is a total of 203 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Judy, Barbara and Crystal Teller; grandchildren, Mary Rose Teller, Gabriel Boyd, Jeremy Teller, Joseph Jr. Teller, Valleri Saldana and Jennifer Webster; and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Snake and Terrell Picotte; and the father of her children, Hugh John Teller.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 10am until 6pm. Visitation to continue at the funeral home Monday, February 26, 2024, from 8am until the time of the funeral. The Oneida Singers will begin singing at 9am Monday. Funeral Mass 10:30am, Monday at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Burial will follow in Oneida Sacred Burial Grounds.
