Jeanne Marie (Deprey) Cartier, 91, Green Bay, passed away October 21, 2017. Born May 27, 1926, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Charlotte (Lyman) Deprey, the oldest daughter of 13 children. She was a proud graduate of Saints Peter and Paul grade school and East High School, Class of 1945. Jeanne married Merlin “Moe” Cartier in 1953 and together had three children, Keith, Diane and Dean. The couple enjoyed a full life together traveling across the country and spending time with family and friends. Jeanne never missed a big Deprey holiday party. Before she was married, Jeanne was an accountant at Dunn & Bradstreet and Pauly Cheese Factory. She loved quilting, sewing, ceramics and swimming with the Masters Synchronized Swim Team, which earned a State Champion Title. Along with her son, Dean, Jeanne enjoyed numerous trips with Mystery Tours. She belonged to the YWCA most of her life. Jeanne found the good in everyone, smiling all the time, appreciating the smallest of things.
Jeanne is survived by two sons, Keith and Dean; sisters, Ceil Patzke, Connie Letourneau, and Karen(Don) Collins; brothers, Wayne, James (Mary C.), and Ronnie Deprey; sisters-in-law, Gerry Deprey, Mary Maes Deprey, Jerilyn Deprey, Dorothy Cartier, and Bobbi Cartier; many nieces, nephews and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin “Moe” Cartier in 2009; in-laws, Earl and Evelyn Cartier; beloved teenage daughter, Diane in 1971; sister, Mary Ann Prochaska in 2016; brothers, Donald (WW II), Melvin M., Larry (Kathy) Danny and Tom Deprey; sister-in-law, Joyce (Cartier) DeNamur; brothers-in-law, Robert Patzke, Royal Letourneau, Jr., Dale Prochaska, Cal Cartier, and Kenny Cartier.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason Street, Wed., Oct. 25, from 4pm until the time of the funeral. Funeral 7pm Wed. at the funeral home. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
