Jolene Vander Loop, 38, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, January 3, 2023, at a local hospital with her family by her side following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born June 25, 1984, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of Jay Vander Loop and Judy Lawrence. Jolene was a proud graduate of Syble Hoppe. She was employed with Aspiro for many years. Jolene was a recent graduate of Project Search at Aurora Hospital. She was very active within Special Olympics in various disciplines. Jolene loved her Wisconsin sports teams and attended numerous events through her partnership with Special Olympics. Jolene always had a positive outlook even as she battled cancer these last two and a half years, never complaining about her situation. She was the most selfless, caring human being, always checking and thinking of others around her. Jolene had a huge heart and cared deeply for her family, those near and far. Family was very important to Jolene, her big blended family never fell short on love; especially for her nieces and nephews - she loved being an aunt. Jolene loved the many family pets that have come and gone over the years.
Jolene is survived by her mother, Judy (Paul Mancheski) Lawrence; father, Jay (Terrie) Vander Loop; paternal grandmother Anne Vander Loop; brothers and sisters, Natasha Vander Loop, Anthony Vander Loop, Shannon Vander Loop, Amy Leiterman, and Michael (Laura) Leiterman; nieces and nephews, David and Kennedy Graham, Layton Revolinski, Madysin Leiterman, Violet Leiterman, and Malachi Schreiber; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George and Betty Lawrence; paternal grandfather, Robert Vander Loop.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 1pm until the time of the service. Memorial service, 4pm at the funeral home.
