Joseph “Joe” H. Guillaume, 92, passed away Monday July 18, 2016. Joe was born January 16, 1924 the son of the late Jules and Nellie (Liebergen) Guillaume.
Joe attended Holy Cross School. He met the love of his life and enjoyed 71 years of married life with Iris LeGrave. Joe worked at Northern Paper Mill, which later became Georgia Pacific for 42 years. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, and making inlaid furniture. Joe loved the outdoors and going to his cottage for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Iris; children, Bruce (Mary), Kathy (Dave), and Jean (Roland); daughter-in-law, Vicki; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Rita Brittnacher, Ken (Audrey) and Roxann Nys, Shirley Jacobs, and Dan DeBauche; neighbors, Pete Delvoe, Mark DeWane, June Lindsley, and Jennie Vandervest.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church from 9am to 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepard Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Bornemanns especially, Connie, Virgina, Satie, Peronda, Mikelyn, Betty, Bruce on South Joe’s buddy, and all those on South and North Wing, (too many to mention) and all residents for their love and comfort.
