Karen Ellen (Schuette) Tuschl, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in New Franken, Wisconsin. She was born on May 26, 1943, one of twelve children in Mishicot, WI. Karen lived a life marked by kindness, devotion to family, and a deep commitment to serving others.

Karen was the beloved wife of James Tuschl for 62+ years and the cherished mother of Scott Tuschl; Michelle & Michael Hinz, and Kristina & Jamie Manwaren. She was a proud grandmother to Jacob and Haejin Hinz, Eric and Ashley Seeds, and Ansley Hinz. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Weston and Miller Seeds. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews and honored to be a godmother to several. And Karen also held a special place in the hearts of her friends.

Karen is survived by siblings, Mary Hebert, Ervin and Sharon Schuette, James Schuette, Robert and Clare Schuette, Greg and Jane Schuette, Kathy Schuette; brother-in-law Marcus Tuschel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Josephine (Grayczkowski) Schuette; her in-laws, John and Mabel (Cherney) Tuschl; sisters June Anthony (Tony), Nancy Lee (Kenneth), Joanne Thom (Roger), Jacqueline Schroeder (Howard); brothers Gerald Schuette (Elizabeth); Guy Schuette; sister-in-law Nancy Schuette; brother-in-law James Hebert; and sister-in-law Margaret Haas (Larry).

Professionally, Karen worked as a teller in the banking industry. Her reliability and warm demeanor made her a trusted presence for customers and colleagues.

Beyond her family and career, Karen’s life was defined by service to others. She volunteered with numerous organizations, including Concerned Hearts, the Red Cross, Bellin Hospital, Aurora Hospital, and Unity Hospice. Through these acts of quiet generosity, her compassionate heart touched many lives.

Karen found joy in simple pleasures—baking delectable desserts, playing cards with friends and family, and completing puzzles that challenged the mind while fostering connection. Her squishy hugs were legendary among loved ones—full of warmth and affection.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the church hall.

Karen’s gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
