Kathleen Grace LeMieux

Kathleen LeMieux, Bay Settlement, went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born in Green Bay, WI on June 6, 1921, and is the daughter of the late William and Grace (McKenna) Walsh. Kathleen married Francis B. LeMieux , August 14, 1944, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Following graduation from East High School in 1939, Kathleen’s first job was at F.W. Woolworth’s dime store. She and her husband ran a grocery store in Iron Ridge, WI and then started Bay Ridge Building Supply until their retirement in 1990.

Mom was devoted to her 8 children, 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was always
interested in what was happening in each of their lives and could recall all of their names.

Kathleen is survived by her six children, Frank and Jean LeMieux of Green Bay, Theresa and Don Rand of VanCleave, MS, Judy Wall of Green Bay, Bill and Linda LeMieux of Oshkosh, Donna and Bill Varney of Clintonville, and Carol and Otto Knoche of Green Bay; 20 Grandchildren, Maria (Michael) Bularz, David (Leslie) Varney, Anna (Jacob) Osborne, Angie (Casey) Benson, Dan LeMieux, Joelle (Richie) Diamond, Kristin McLean, Aimee (Steven) Viger, Francis (Clarissa) Wall, Tom Wall, Christina (Mike) Bienapfl, Joe LeMieux, Paul ( Loren) LeMieux, Will (Tami) LeMieux, Mike (Laurie) LeMieux, Julie LeMieux, Molly Jorgenson, Susan Knoche, Laura (Steve) Koh, and Jonathan (Susan) Knoche.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; two infant brothers, William and John Walsh; her sons, Joseph and Anthony LeMieux; grandson, Lance LeMieux; son-in-law, Tom Wall; sister, Anges and brother-in-law, Clayton Pierquet; father and mother-in-law; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Ruth LeMieux and James and Elaine LeMieux.

Friends and family may call at Holy Cross Parish, 3009 Bay Settlement Rd. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10:00am until the time of the funeral. Memorial mass will be at 11:00am Saturday at the church.
