Kathy was born at her home on Harvey St. in Green Bay, Wisconsin on September 28, 1932. Her parents, Edmund Bader and Adele (Coel) Bader were second generation Belgians who hailed from Dyckesville and Champion. Kathy was raised practically as an only child since her sister Florence was 13 years older and her brother Joseph was 17 years older.
She grew up across the street from St. Peter and Paul Catholic school and church which made it very convenient for her Catholic upbringing. She attended St. Peter and Paul grade school and St. Joseph’s Academy graduating in 1950. She worked at the Telephone Company where she was promoted to Manager. She earned enough money to pay for her own braces and fixed her crooked smile.
Around this time she met and fell in love with James Neuser and they married a short time later in 1953. She gave birth to seven children which she lovingly raised on Raleigh St. Our family was blessed with a hard-working loving mother who kept her home in tidy shape non-stop. She cooked three square meals and delicious desserts. She especially loved Christmas time and began making her treats weeks in advance.
Kathy loved to pick blueberries up north with her sister Florence at her dad’s hunting shack. She also tended many beautiful gardens over the years. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit kitchen towels. For years we looked forward to the gift of one of mom’s hand-knit creations at Christmas time.
Later in life, Kathy became a certified Home Health Aide where she was a caregiver for many clients. She also enjoyed doing water aerobics at her local YMCA. She was a lifelong devoted Catholic who had a huge heart and was a wonderful role model.
Kathy is survived by James and their children, Vickie (Arden) Daoust, Tim (Holly) Neuser, Mary (Peter) Rudd, Paul (Angie) Neuser, Betsy (Jeff) Schultz, Amy Neuser and Jennifer (Brian) Grathen. Her grandchildren, Tyler Collier, Lindsay Collier, Austin Daoust, Jackie (Jeremy) Roots, Dan Neuser, Stacy Neuser, Julia (Alan) Webb, David (Celina) Rudd, Jacob (Calena) Rudd, Eric (Sarah) Rudd, Molly Rudd, Melissa (Nate) LaCascio, Courtney (Brock) Eklund, Mimi Schultz, Natalie Grathen and Olivia Grathen and 23 great-grandchildren (2 more on the way). Three nieces: Rosemary Hermes, Patty Steinhofer and Nancy Kaczmarinski and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister.
