Lilias F. Pakula, 78, Green Bay, passed away Saturday evening, May 28, 2016, at a local hospital. Born July 20, 1937, in Bates, MI, she is the daughter of the late Herman and Harriet (Clements) Norkoli. Lililas is a graduate of Stambaugh High School. After moving to Green Bay, Lilias held various jobs before retiring from Metalcraft Mint after 20 years of faithful service. She was a long time member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish. Lilias was very proud of her family, especially her great-grandchildren, Abby and Martin.
Lilias is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lori (George) Van Dyck; three grandchildren, Stacy, Justin, and Adam; two great-grandchildren, Abby and Martin all of Green Bay; two sisters, Betty King, WA, and Elaine Clemo, Osceola, WI; former husband, Paul Pakula, Green Bay; special nephew, William “Billy” Norkoli, Appleton; brother-in-law, Martin Bemis; and sister-in-law, Sharon Norkoli, both of MI.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Norkoli; one sister, Audrey Bemis; and two nephews, Brad King and Kenny Bemis.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Monday, June 6, from 4-7pm. Memorial service 7pm at the funeral home. There will also be a memorial service for Lilas in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at a later date for her many family members who reside there. Burial in Stambaugh Cemetery.
The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of St. Vincent Hospital ICU, especially Sarah who gently helped Lilas transition from this world to the next.
