Linda C. Bowers, 61, Green Bay, passed before her time on April 20, 2015, after an accidental fall in her home. Born to Catherine (Mulhearn) and Gerald Barber on Sept. 5, 1953, in Lexington, Kentucky, Linda moved to Green Bay in 1957. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and worked at Fort Howard paper mill. She was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed on bases in New Jersey, Texas and Colorado. Linda was a kind and gentle soul who loved to bake, crochet and play games with friends and family.
Linda is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Renee) Bowers and two grandsons, Marshall and Zachary; mother, Cathy Barber, Green Bay; two brothers, Mark (Lori) Barber, Sobieski, and Steve Barber, Green Bay; one sister, Susan (Eric) Lindquist, Eau Claire; special friend Ron Gomoluch, Hobart; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2770 Bay Settlement Road. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with Sr. Dorothy Wagner, OSF, officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
