Linda Louise Van Beek, 67, Green Bay, died peacefully on February 17, 2016, at a local hospital, surrounded by family. Born on August 7, 1948, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of Kathleen (Dennisen) and the late Vernon Van Beek. Linda is a 1966 graduate of Preble High School. She worked many years in the food service industry. Linda enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, and watching birds. She was a member of the Moose Club, Lodge 801. She loved spending time with her precious nieces and nephews, and cherished times with her brothers and sisters. Linda will be sadly missed by her canine companion, Jack.
Linda is survived by her loving mother; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Thomas (Barbara) Van Beek, Vernon (Karen) Van Beek, and James (Shelby) Van Beek; seven sisters and six brothers-in-law, Mary Kay (Richard) Birkholz, Kathleen Collins, Patti (Daniel) Osmond, JoAnne (Charles) Strachan, Cindy (Randy) Jakubowski, Ann (Mark) Hill, and Lori (Mark) Pennings; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; infant sister, Theresa; brother-in-law, Gary Collins; two nephews, Joseph Van Beek and Luke Pennings; and her grandparents, grandma and grandpa Dennisen, and grandma and grandpa Van Beek.
Visitation at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., Monday from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of the service. Memorial Mass 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Antony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Malcore (East) Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with services, 432-5579.
