Lou Ann Schley

September 18, 1954 — March 19, 2025

Lou Ann Schley (Rienow), 70 of Green Bay, gained her wings unexpectedly after a short illness on 3/19/25. She was born on September 18, 1954 to William and Carol Rienow in Green Bay. She was a graduate of Preble High School in 1973. At 20 years old, she welcomed her first son, Rick. In 1986 she married Steve Schley and they later brought two beautiful children into this world, Shawn and Sheena. Lou stayed home for many years raising her children . Once they were school aged, she began working for the Green Bay School District so she could be home the same time as the kids. She retired in 2012 from Green Bay East High School. In her spare time, Lou loved the outdoors. From family camping trips to planting her flowers, she was constantly found outside enjoying the sun and fresh air. As many probably know, one of Lou’s greatest joys was going to the city dump and seeing what kind of plants had been dropped off that she could rescue. Her kids and grandsons would joke that her backyard was a jungle that she then would bring inside each winter. Her second hobby was crafting. From wood burnings, family trees, ancestor books, necklaces, flowers, and angels, she did it all with great pride.

Lou loved her family and will deeply be missed by daughter/son in law: Sheena and Eric Hussin; grandsons: Patryck Schley, Maverick Schley; brother: Steve Rienow; sister: Mary Duca, sister in law: Mary Rienow; ex husband: Steve Schley; aunt Roger and Bonnie Rahlf; cousin: Brenda Belanger; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Lou was proceeded in death by her father and mother: William and Carol Rienow; siblings: Allen, Clayton, Carl, Annette, Greg, Dennis, Bill; sister in law: Marcia Rienow; brother in law: Rick Duca; and sons: Rick LaTour and Shawn Schley.

Family and Friends are welcome to celebrate Lou on April 19, 2025 from 12pm-3pm at “A Gathering For You” 822 Cormier Rd. Green Bay WI 54304.
