Lucille C. Brandl

December 24, 1928 — January 5, 2019

Lucille C. Brandl, 90, Green Bay, passed away, early Saturday morning, Jan. 5, 2019, at a local assisted living facility. Born Dec. 24, 1928 in Osman, WI, she is the daughter of the late Alvin and Anna (Pitz) Schneider. Lucille married Lambert Brandl on April 10, 1948, in Osman, WI. Due to Lambert’s employment, the couple raised their family in various Wisconsin cities and beyond. Lucille demonstrated her strong organizational and communication skills by maintaining the family and coordinating each of the family’s moves, always with a smile on her face. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, playing golf, traveling and especially loved Yahtzee and watching sports in her later years. She will affectionately be remembered for her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren…Oh, and jelly beans.

Lucille is survived by six children, Robert (Trudy) Brandl, Green Bay, Richard (Sandee) Brandl, San Antonio, TX, Donna (Mike) LaPlante, Little Suamico, WI, Doreen Grimmius, St. Peter, MN, Rick (Bonnie) Brandl, Superior, CO, and Debra (Marc) Manis, Ormond Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, David (Jen) LaCaptaine, Fond du Lac, WI and their children, Adriana, Elise, Isla and Oliver; Jesse (Ivana) Brandl, San Francisco, CA and their daughter, Hana; Cory (Jesse) Stauber, Green Bay, WI and their children, Justina and Paige; Christel Jeff Jeno) LaPlante, Elk River, MN, and their children, Ryleigh, Lincoln, and Ella; Candice (Joe Haerewa) LaPlante, Washington, D.C.; Tanner (Anne) Grimmius, Owatouna, MN, and their children, Miles and Weston; Will (Anne) Gimmius, Shakopp, MN, and their children, Jonathan and Jacob; Lucas (fiancee' Maggie) Brandl, Denver, CO: and Travis Brandle, Denver, CO; sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Lambert; one infant son, Donald; one son-in-law, David Grimmius; and five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation at St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.) on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 3pm until the time of the funeral. Memorial Mass 4:30pm Friday, April 26, 2019 at the church with Rev. John P. Bergstadt, officiating. Malcore (West) Funeral Home is serving the family.

Lucille’s family extend a very special thank you to caring staffs of Unity Hospice and Woodside Manor Assisted Living.
