Margaret "Peggy" Stabe

Margaret (Peggy) age 92, of Green Bay, WI passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Marla Vista Manor in Green Bay. Peggy was born on March 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Jerry and Mabel (Clark) Ford. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry II, her sister, Nancy and her daughter, Maureen.

Peggy spent her younger years in Antigo, WI and loved reminiscing about life in a small town. After moving to Green Bay, she embraced her natural role as “Grandma Margaret” with the Green Bay Encompass Foster Grandparent Program for 20 years.

Caring and selfless, Peggy was known for her positive outlook on life and cherished her visits with friends and family. She always reminded us of the value of family when we gathered to watch the Packers, listened to polkas, or her favorite Irish music.

Peggy is survived by brother, Don Ford (Rita) of Racine, survived by children: Ford Stabe, Madison; Amy (Scott) Thompson, Green Bay; Clark (Bobbie) Stabe, Zion, IL and Stacy (Keith) McKay, Green Bay; her grandchildren: Jessica (Jason), Michelle (Jeff), Clark R., Paul, Peter, Sam (Caitlin), Audrey, Alicia (Grady), Christopher, Ryan, Mathew, Alex & Sarah; her great-grand children: Amanda, Brooke, Jack, Mason, Taryn, Otis, Etta & Colt. Cousins, Jan (Jim) Krueger and Marita (Leo) Biesterveld.
