Marie A. Thome, 95, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at a local hospital. Born in Lena, June 28, 1920, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Netzer) Colson. Marie married Arthur Thome on June 1, 1940, at St. Peter’s Church in Oconto and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1999. She worked on the family farm and part time at Bond Pickle Company until her retirement. Marie loved playing cards and bingo and was a huge Packer fan. She was a phenomenal cook and baker.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Donna (Fred) Williams of Rice Lake, and Jan (Melvin) Mortier of Oconto; two sons, Donald Thome, and Lee (Betty) Thome all of Green Bay; grandchildren, Todd Thome, Sara and Schelley Thome; step grandchildren, Cathi Gardner, Karl (Jan) Hinrichs, Roy (Debbie) Zakowski, and Joan (Steve) Wright; step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son; daughter-in-law, Patricia; brothers, Earl (Helen) Colson and Alvin Colson; sisters, Helen (Henry) Lemke and Eleanor (Vincent) Coshenet.
Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, Green Bay, Tuesday, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ryan Starks officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery, Oconto. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is assisting the family. Visit
