Melissa Missy" A. Bartol

Melissa “Missy” A. Bartol, 41, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at a local hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1978, in Ishpeming, Michigan, she is the daughter of Gary and Claudia (Wertanen) Hakkarinen. She had worked for a few years in housekeeping at a motel. Missy met her soul-mate, Frank Bartol, Sr. while in the U.P. The couple eventually moved to Green Bay and got married in Las Vegas, April 23, 2010. Missy enjoyed music (often with a coffee and her children) and attending concerts with Frank; reading and watching crime mysteries; she was loyal to a fault; and loved her family dearly.

Missy is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Sierra Hakkarinen, Frank Bartol, Jr. and Paige Bartol; her parents, Gary and Claudia Hakkarinen; siblings, Brandi (Charles) Misale; Shawn (Crystal) Hakkarinen, Andrew (Heather) Hakkarinen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by son, Lucas Hakkarinen; sister, Molly Hakkarinen; and an uncle, Milton “Hoody” Hakkarinen.

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Wed. Nov. 6, 2019, from 10am until the time of the service. Memorial service 11am Wed. at the funeral home with Chaplain Steve Fewell officiating.
