Mercedes Maria Vargas Vega, age 86, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. She was born August 10, 1932 in Arequipa, Peru to the late Benigno Vargas and Maria Vega. Mercedes was a strong mother who provided great values to her children and was a great example for the rest of her family. Mercedes loved gardening, crafting, going to church and spending time with her family. She was able to realize her dream of coming to the United States.
Mercedes leaves behind six children; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister.
A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends.
