Michael Francis Young, 67, Green Bay, died peacefully, Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Veterans Home in King, WI. Born in Green Bay, January 3, 1949, he is the son of the late Clifford and Angeline (Destree) Young. Mike attended Saints Peter and Paul Grade School and Premontre High School. He proudly served in the United States Army. Mike worked at Hostess, Wonder Bread, Jay’s Potato Chips, and retired from Copp’s Grocery Store. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and boating. Mike was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and used to belong to the Happy Hoppers Polka Dancers.
Mike is survived by his brother, Jack Young (special friend, Marilyn Kibilowski), sister, Mary (Gary) Wennesheimer; brother-in-law, John Laurant; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Kenneth; sister, Lee Ann Laurant; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Young.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Wednesday, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
