Monica Pecor, 70, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly May 6, 2016. Born on October 20, 1945, in Milwaukee, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Stricker. She married Tom Pecor on November 15, 1963. Monica was a fabulous mother of three and grandmother of ten. She had a deep devotion to God and the Virgin Mary. Monica was a very successful business owner and professional, being a very talented artist who applied her skills in stained glass art from residential application to liturgical settings. She enjoyed working with Tom side by side at the Glass Haus Stained Glass Studio where they bonded as business partners for 23 years. Monica’s second passion was inspiring and teaching her skills to students who wanted to learn the art of stained glass. She was a very caring and unselfish person always putting everyone else before herself. Monica had devoted, unconditional love for her family.
Monica is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom; three children, Daniel Pecor of Green Bay, Rob (Jennifer) Pecor of Los Angeles CA, Kristine Pecor of Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Julia, Sarah, Jonathan, Glenville, Ryan, Andrew, Jessica, Margaret, Patrick; brother and sister, Craig (Barb) Stricker, Kathryn (Randy) Torson; many other relatives and friends.
Monica was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Glenville and Myrtle Pecor; grandchild, Kayla; brother Tony.
Visitation at St. John the Evangelist, 413 St. John St., Wednesday, May 11, from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 AM.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all her students and clients who gave her the opportunity to live her dream as a glass artist.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
