Mrs. Dorothy Dimmer, 101, Green Bay passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 16, 2023, at a local nursing home. Born in Isaar on September 17, 1922, she is the daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Wendel) Wagner. She married Erv Dimmer December 27, 1947, at St. Sebastian Church in Isaar and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2008. Dorothy was employed many years at Dehn's Ice Cream at three corners (corner of Baird and Main Street) on the east side. Dorothy and Erv loved to travel and visited numerous states including Hawaii and the Caribbean. They enjoyed their summers at their cottage in Little Sturgeon and spent their winters as 'snowbirds' in Arizona. Dorothy loved to crochet, and times spent at the casino. But most of all she enjoyed times spent with her family. Everyone loved Dorothy's beautiful smile.
Survived by her four daughters: Betty (Steve) Rentmeester, Barb (Bubsy) Geurts, Kay Coisman (special friend Leon Westphal), and Lois (Jack) Sticka; 11 grandchildren: Craig (Tina) Rentmeester, Tara (David) Berry, Paul (Charity) Rentmeester, Melissa Geurts, Amy (Rob) Salesky , Kim (Jeff) Depper, Beth (Lucas) McAleer, Jason (Lindsey) Sticka, Bernie (Amber) Sticka, Neil (Steph) Sticka, Kyleen (Adam) Wertel; 27 great grandchildren: Kaylee, Nicklaus, Tyler, Andrew, Morgan, Caden, Haley, Nathan, Mariah, Emma, Claire, Brady, Sophia, Caleb, Joshua, Allison, Teal, Milton, Neveah, Maria, Abby, Jonny, Jacob, Evan, Cal, Eli, and Little Jack; 5 great great grandchildren Gauge, Charleigh, Reese, Ava, Layla and one on the way; one sister: Shirley (Gene) Kropp; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters; one grandson: Todd Geurts; one son-in-law: Brent Coisman, many other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street from 4 - 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 29. Parish wake service 7 P.M. Wednesday. Visitation will continue at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Thursday 11 A.M at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (corner of Monroe and Doty Street) with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
